Benefit Specialist is getting requests almost daily. Private agencies are not accepting new clients. • Senior Leadership Training on October 14`" at Government Center was discussed and all LTS Committee members were invited to attend. Wisconsin Elder Abuse Report for 1998: Data from report indicated a reduction in number of abuse/neglect investigations for St. Croix County during 1998. Report still shows St. Croix County doing a significant number of investigations compared with other neighboring counties. Ron Lockwood suggested that this was probably due to more accurate reporting in St. Croix County rather than being a result of greater elder abuse/neglect activity. Ron also reported that over half of the 36 cases reported in St. Croix County were due to self -neglect allegations. Consider a Policy regarding Home Modifications: There was discussion regarding the need for a county policy on home modifications paid for by COP and the MA Waivers to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities. Staff will develop policy for approval at next meeting. Motion to adjourn at 2:40pm by Wanda Viellieux second by Keith Gregerson. Carried. Respectfully Submitted by Ron Lockwood, SW Supervisor
