May 13, 1999.
The Department on Aging received a call from someone
on oxygen that would like transportation to medical
appointments. The past policy has been not to transport
oxygen patients. The Council said they would consider
transportation if (1) person can handle oxygen on their
own (2) have a companion to help with oxygen (3) have
only trained volunteer drivers to transport, and (4) drivers
would not be required to drive if they do not feel
comfortable in transporting the oxygen. A motion was
made by Ralph Bader and seconded by Jean Schroeder to
accept the above considerations; motion carried.
A motion was made by Larry Weisenburger and seconded
by Andy Germain to get a VISA card without an annual
fee for Department on Aging; motion carried.
A motion was made by Ralph Bader and seconded by
