Members present: Krueger, Charles Mehls, Jack Dowd, and Lee Kellaher. Absent and excused: Bob Gunderson. Also present: Sheriff Burch, Personnel Committee representative Art Jacobson, and Personnel Director Debra Kathan. Moved (Kellaher, Mehls) and approved to accept the agenda as presented. Moved (Dowd, Kellaher) and approved to accept the minutes of the January 26 committee meeting. Motion (Mehls, Dowd) to go into closed session per WI Stat. 19.85 (1) c for the purpose of interviewing candidates for the Chief Deputy position in the Sheriff's Department. Roll call vote: all aye; moved into closed session at 8:37 a.m. Moved (Dowd, Mehls) and approved to come out of closed session at 11:05 a.m. Moved (Dowd, Kellaher) and approved to select Ron Volkert for the position of Chief Deputy.
