Date: January 26, 1998 Location: Government Center, Hudson
The Public Protection Committee meeting was called to order at
8:32 a.m. by Chairman William Krueger. Members present: Krueger,
Jack Dowd, Charles Mehls, and Lee Kellaher. Absent and excused:
Robert Gunderson. Also present: Sheriff Burch and Debra Kathan.
Moved (Kellaher, Mehls) and approved to adopt the agenda as
presented. Krueger noted that the next meeting was scheduled for
February 2 at 8:30 a.m. It will be a closed session meeting to
complete interviews for the position of Chief Deputy. No action
was taken on previous minutes.
Motion (Kellaher, Dowd) to go into closed session per WI Stat.
19.85 (1) c for the purpose of reviewing application forms for the
position of Chief Deputy. Roll call vote: all aye; moved into
closed session at 8:35 a.m. Administrative Coordinator John Krizek
appeared before the Committee for about 10 minutes; this was prior
to the application review. Moved (Dowd, Kellaher) and approved to
come out of closed session at 10:55 a.m. Moved (Kellaher, Krueger)
and approved to interview the following candidates for the position
of Chief Deputy: Ronald Volkert, Dean Rossing, and Karen Humphrey.
The interviews will be scheduled to start at 8:30, the morning of
February 2. Moved (Mehls, Dowd) and approved to adjourn at 11:08
a.m.
