The Sub -Committee met on May 5" with Karen Bailey, Mona Flanum, Richard Anderson (Job Service), Richard Best (Private Industry Council), John Borup and Marilyn Fruit in attendance. The Sub -Committee discussed the possibility of future co -location, John Borup and Marilyn Fruit advised them of the Human Ser%ices Board's desire to utilize property owned by the County. Richard Anderson pointed out that they are mandated to serve all of the job seekers in St. Croix County not just the potential W-2 Clientele. Concern was also expressed regarding the accessibility for employers. They felt our property is too far out and the main building is too much of a maze. j Richard Best advised the Regional Workforce Development Board has received a grant thru the Chambers and will be holding an Employers Forum in each county. He felt this would be one avenue of input from employers on the location of the Job Center. John Borup suggested we convene a special meeting of the W-2 Community Steering Committee. The purpose would be to report on the first meeting and to see if they would send a letter to the Human Services Board requesting that Board's support for the Sub -Committee's proceeding to gather information and data on the pro's and eon's and possible locations. B. Discussion followed regarding co -location and the need to take the issue to the: Human Services Board at this time. It was felt not enough additional information was available to be presented at this time and that it would be better to have the W-2 Co -location Sub -Committee proceed. The Human Services Board could be kept informed only as a point of information. 201d 0ZZ8 9bZ STL i oddnS N003-SH2HQ'00'iS TZ:TT e66T-oT--1nf r i i 1 The Community Steering Committee felt the Co -location Sub -Committee should address these issues: I.
