Agriculture & Extension Committee May 6, 2008 Agricultural Service & Education Center Convened: 9 a.m. Baldwin, WI Adjourned: 10:50 a.m. Present: Gene Ruetz, Bill Peavey, Linda Luckey, Richard Marzolf, Dan Raebel, Lee Milligan, Pete Kling, Joan Sprain, Ruth Hilfiker, Martha Mabis, and Mary Lestrud. The meeting was called to order by Ruetz. Date of the next meeting is June 3. Peavey moved to approve the previous meeting's minutes. Ruetz second. Motion carried. Peavey moved to approve the vouchers. Marzolf second. Motion carried. Committee Election of Officers: Marzolf nominated Ruetz for Committee Chair. There were no further nominations. Raebel moved to close nominations. Luckey nominated Peavey for Committee Vice Chair. There were no further nominations. Raebel moved to close nominations. Luckey nominated Marzolf for Committee Secretary. There were no further nominations. Peavey moved to close nominations . John Murtha presented an update on legislation affecting agricultural issues. Ruetz noted the Committee representatives to the Fair Board are Ruetz, Peavey and Marzolf. Raebel moved to adjourn the meeting at 10:50 a.m. Peavey second. Motion carried.
