ROM�w UNTY RESOLUTION APPROVING LIBRARY EXEMPTION FROM TAX LEVY 1 WHEREAS, municipalities are responsible for requesting an exemption from the County 2 library tax on an annual basis pursuant to Wis. Stat. 43.64(2); and 3 WHEREAS, under Wis. Stat. 43.64(2), municipalities with public libraries may be 4 exempt from the County library tax if they appropriate locally an amount above the defined 5 minimum; and 6 WHEREAS, if a municipality qualified for an exemption based on the calculation in 7 Wis. Stat. 43.64(2), the municipality must make written application to the County Board of the 8 County, for approval of the exemption; and 9 WHEREAS, the following municipalities have approved resolutions certifying they meet 10 the exemption calculation: 11 Village of Baldwin 12 Village of Deer Park 13 Village of Hammond 14 Village of Roberts 15 Village of Somerset 16 Village of Spring Valley 17 Village of Woodville 18 City of New Richmond 19 City of River Falls 20 City of Glenwood City 21 Town of Hudson 22 Town of St. Joseph 23 Village of North Hudson 24 City of Hudson 25 26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of 27 Supervisors that the above municipalities are exempt from the 2019 County library tax levy.
