Community Development Department staff have reviewed your sign permit application to alter an
existing On -Premise, Permanent Sign in the Residence Zoning District pursuant to Section 17.65
(E)(2)(a) of tine St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance. The ateration will involve the accident of an LED
board (4' x 8') over the face of the existing sign cabinet that is 4' x 8'. A Land Use Permit is
required prior to the improvement erect0n, construction, reconstruction, enlargement or
alteration of any sign, structural component or mounting device pursuant to 417.65 (E)(2)(a).
The request for Me sign alteration has been conditionally approved based on the project findings:
The existing sign onsite was erected prior to the 2007 St. Croix County Ordinance.
The total area of the sign Is 32-square feet 4-feet by 8-feet In dimension.
The total height of the sign IS proposed at 7.3-feet.
The total height of the existing sign is 7.3-feet.
The sign meets all applicable setbacks.
The sign will be monument design.
The size of the sign will not change, size, structure, height or sign area will not change.
• The sign electrical components will require a 20-Amp Circu0.
• The sign lightening will be B ARM SKID LED.Display,
• The sign alteration will included the addition of a message board.
Based on these findings, approval of SP-2019-003 is subject to the following conditions:
1. Sign and sign components, and elements of faces of signs shall not flash, move, travel, or use
animation or change In intensity of artificial light.
2. The illuminated portion of the sign requires an electrical power cutoff switch on the outside of
the sign.

3. The County may specify the hours a sign may be illuminated and limit its brightness while
illuminated. The hours of illumination or brightness limitations may be established at any time,
Including during the life of the sign.
4. This approval does not allow for the lateral or vertical expansion of the sign in any way.
5. The signs display surface shall he properly coated or covered, attached and maintained.
6. An unite Inspection is required to validate setbacks and verify the dimensions of the sign. The
applicant shall call me at (7ly) 386-4684, to schedule this inspection.
]. The applicant shall be responsible to secure any other required local, state or federal permits)
and approvals) prior to erecting the signs.
8. Any amendment or change in the proposed sign shall require prior review by the Zoning
Administrator for compliance with Chapter 1765 D 2of as a new land use permit may be required.
9. Failure to campy with the terms or conditions above may result in the revoodon of this permit
by the Zoning Administrator according to Chapter 17.65 E6
This approval is subject to the conditions lined above, it does not allow for any additional signs,
sign components and elements of signs beyond the limits of this request Your information will
remain on file with the St Croix County Community Development Department. It is your
responsibility to ensure compliance with any other local, state, or federal permitting or regulations,
Including contacting the Town of Saint Joseph and Wisconsin Department of Transportation,
Outdoor Advertising, to Inquire if additional permissions are required.
This permit Is valid for one year, with the possibility of up to two (2) six-month extensions if the
applicant submits the appropriate permit extension fee and documentation to the Zoning
